The Bar is the student representative body of the School of Law (SOL).
With a vision to build an empowered student community, The Bar aims to enable students to make informed decisions in both their professional and academic pursuits. In serving the school community, The Bar seeks to increase the visibility of student-interest groups and enhance the vibrancy of student life in SMU Law. The Bar holds events (both social and professional-academic), and welfare drives for the student body. The Bar also serves as a voice for the student body in its ongoing engagement with the School of Law administration.

The Bar’s Flagship Summer Event, Law Camp, welcomes the incoming batch of freshmen with fun activities and bonding.
SMU Law’s very own pageant competition boasts a night of exciting performances and good fun.
The Bar plans many networking events with various law firms and legal organisations, in line with the firm belief that every student should be provided the opportunity to develop professionally.
