ABOUT SOSCIETY
SOSCIETY is the student representative body of the School of Social Sciences (SOSS).
Founded in 2004, SOSCIETY aims to inspire and unite students together to reach ambitions and hopes for the greater society. Founded on the ideals of fraternity and harmony, SOSCIETY has made a name for itself in cultivating a strong Social Sciences community in SMU and as a conduit for the interaction of all Social Sciences students - past, present, and future.
KEY EVENTS
Our Mentorship Programme is a platform for current students to connect with alumni and seek guidance on academics, career plans and university life.
Our virtual freshman orientation 2021 aimed to give our incoming SOSS students a chance to bond and be inducted into our SOSCIETY fam through exciting challenges and bonding activities!
Started in 2019, SOSCIETY Night is an annual event that lets students bond and enjoy a night of games, entertainment and food!

SOSS FRESHMEN ORIENTATION 2023
Epikourios is SMU SOSS’s orientation camp 2023, designed to welcome and help incoming Social Sciences freshmen integrate into SMU. Our orientation camp this year is finally going to be held physically - so do join us for an electrifying in-person camp experience!
We have prepared tons of fun games and activities from relaxing bonding activities to exciting challenges that require teamwork and your competitive spirit! Through Epikourios, our SOSS freshmen will have the opportunity to forge lasting friendships and memories with their fellow Social Science freshmen and seniors.
